Fresh Freesia Flowers of Friendship

Hello! I hope you had a wonderful July 4th! It was great to see people out and about and celebrating the holiday this year. I was finally able to hold my first in-person club last Saturday for the first time since February 2020 and it was so nice to see my customers and stamp together! This is one of the cards we made. I love all of the new InColors, however, Fresh Freesia is definitely my most favorite. I paired it with one of the black and white papers from the Pattern Party DSP, which you can earn for free with Stampin’ Rewards.

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base – cut a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″, fold and crease with a bone folder.
  • Cut piece of DSP at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Die cut with the largest Stitched Rectangles dies and adhere to card front.
  • Cut piece of Basic White cardstock at 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ and die cut with the second largest frame die from the Scalloped Contours dies.
  • Stamp the large floral image from the Flowers of Friendship stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on the Basic White scalloped piece. Color the flowers with Fresh Freesia and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. Adhere to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Cut piece of Basic White cardstock at 3/4″ x 1 3/4″. Stamp greeting with Memento ink. Adhere to floral piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Embellish the floral piece. Tie a bow with the Playful Pets black and white bakers twine and adhere with a glue dot. Adhere three Mint Macaron Genial Gems.

Artistically Inked-Kylie’s Training Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to Kylie Bertucci’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for June. I’m part of a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world that participate in Kylie’s program for building our businesses. The theme for this year is thank you cards that we make as a way to show appreciation to our customers and teams. Please be sure to click on the names in the list at the end of this post to hop around and view the beautiful projects created by so many talented stampers.

Today’s project features the stunning Expressions in Ink Suite. The Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper is unlike anything we’ve ever had before and I couldn’t wait to work with it!

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base – cut a piece of Polished Pink cardstock at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″, fold and crease with a bone folder.
  • Cut a piece of gold foil paper at 3 1/4″ x 4 3/4″. Cut a piece of Expressions in Ink DSP at 3″ x 4 1/2″. Adhere pieces together and adhere to card front.
  • Stamp the roses as follows: One rose at full strength and one rose stamped off once with Polished Pink ink; one rose at full strength with Magenta Madness ink.
  • Stamp three single leaf images with Just Jade ink, stamping off once for one of the leaves.
  • Die cut all stamped images with the coordinating Artistic Dies.
  • Make the rose collage by first adhering the roses together with liquid glue. Arrange the Just Jade leaves and adhere to flowers with Mini Glue Dots. Select one of the leaves from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack and adhere with Mini Glue Dots.
  • Adhere entire piece to bottom right corner of the DSP background piece.
  • Stamp “thanks” greeting with Polished Pink ink on scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock and fussy cut.
  • Die cut a gold foil label from the Tasteful Labels dies. Adhere the greeting to the label and adhere to card front.
  • Adhere a few sequins from the Ephemera Pack to the DSP piece.
  • Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Ink up the rose stamp with Polished Pink ink, stamp off once and stamp in bottom left corner. Ink up the leaf stamp, stamp off once and stamp on the rose. Repeat one more time. Adhere piece to inside of card.

Sweet as a Peach Book Binding Fun Fold Card

Hello! Today’s card features the new You’re A Peach Suite. I love peaches so when I saw this suite it was at the top of my list when I placed my first order from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. Some of you might remember the Fruit Stand stamp set and coordinating DSP from 2016, which had a peach as one of the images. I used the peach stamp heavily, but it doesn’t hold a candle to this new stamp set! Lately, I’ve been seeing a bunch of cards using the book binding fun fold so I decided to give it a try. It is very easy to do!

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base – cut a piece of Pale Papaya cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 11″. Score at 4 1/4″ and 5 1/2″, fold in half and crease folds with a bone folder. Adhere the hinge on the left side of the card. When you open up the card the inside will now be 4 1/4″ square.
  • Cut one piece of the You’re A Peach DSP at 4″ square and a contrasting piece at 1″ x 4″ and adhere to card front.
  • Stamp the large peach image on scrap piece of Basic White cardstsock. To add depth to the color, I used a tip from Patty Bennett. First ink up the stamp with Pale Papaya ink and then sponge Calypso Coral ink onto the stamp with a sponge dauber. Stamp onto cardstock. Stamp leaf image with Pear Pizzazz ink on scrap piece of Basic White cardstock. Cut peach and leaves with coordinating dies from the Peach Dies. Adhere the leaf to the peach with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • Die cut a circle from Basic White cardstock with the 2 3/8″ Layering Circle Die. Adhere peach to circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals, leaving space for the greeting. Stamp “hello” with Calypso Coral ink. Stamp the small blossoms with Pale Papaya ink.
  • Die cut a scalloped circle from Calypso Coral cardstock with the 2 1/2″ scalloped Layering Circle Die. Adhere to stamped circle piece. Adhere to card front.
  • For the inside of the card, cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 4″ square. Stamp greetings of your choice. I stamped “hope your day is as” with Pale Papaya ink and “as sweet as a peach” with Calypso Coral ink. Stamp small blossoms with Pale Papaya ink in bottom left. Adhere to card.
  • Cut a piece of Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon at 16″ and tie into a knot around the hinged piece.

Inspired Thoughts-Kylie’s International Blog Highlights

Hello! Today I’m participating in Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights. Readers get to vote on their top five favorites in the gallery and the top 10 winners will get to participate in an International Blog Hop later this month. The theme is “thank you”. Today’s card features the Inspired Thoughts bundle. I had planned to use the Beauty of the Earth DSP, but changed my mind and went with a totally different look to reflect springtime rather than the autumn hues of the DSP, however I did use a small strip of the paper for the grass. I love going to Washington, DC in April during the Cherry Blossom Festival. It is spectacular to see these beautiful trees as they bloom!

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base – cut piece of Pool Party cardstock at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″, fold and crease with a bone folder.
  • Cut piece of Basic White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Use blender brushes to add Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Pear Pizzazz inks to create the background. Start at the top with Pool Party, getting a little darker as you work down. Then add the Coastal Cabana, blending it in with the Pool Party and going darker towards the middle. Then lightly blend the Pear Pizzazz.
  • Cut the tree branches with the die from the Inspiring Canopy Dies from piece of Soft Suede cardstock. Adhere with the bottom of this piece close to the bottom of the background piece.
  • Cut piece of the Old Olive DSP from the Beauty of the Earth DSP at 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″. Die cut using the curved die. Adhere to bottom of background piece, covering over the bottom of the tree trunks .
  • Cut two sets each of the four different size leaf dies with Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo cardstock. I used a white gel pen to color some of the leaves on the Flirty Flamingo pieces to give the effect of some of the blossoms that are white. Arrange the pieces to cover the tree branches and adhere with liquid glue.
  • Die cut a bird with Coastal Cabana cardstock and adhere to left side of tree. You can use any set of dies (or a punch) that includes a bird image. I used the recently retired Well Written dies.
  • Stamp thank you greeting from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set with Soft Suede ink on piece of Basic White cardstock cut at 3/8″ x 2 3/4″. Adhere to card.
  • Adhere the background piece to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Cut piece of Basic White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″ for inside of card. I used the leftover piece from the piece of Old Olive DSP that I used to cut the grass with and adhered it to the bottom. Adhere to inside of card and stamp a greeting or leave blank.

I’d be so appreciative if you would vote for my card! Click on the vote image below. Once you are in the gallery, click on the heart at the top right hand side of the picture as the hearts appear.
