Season of Thanks SIP Card

Today I have a SIP card (Stamps, Ink, Paper), #stampsinkpaper, that features the Gather Together stamp set. I’ve been a long-time member of a local chapter of the American Business Women’s Association and recently hosted a mini-mixer at my home for a small group of members. In addition to the socializing and refreshments, I designed two cards for the women to make that will be donated to the Cards for Soldiers organization. One card is for the recipient to keep and the other is for them to send to a friend or loved one back home. Since not everyone knew how to stamp and there was a limited amount of time to do the projects I had to keep the cards easy to make. I think it turned out to be simple yet elegant. I also used this project at my stamping club last week. All of the club members are avid crafters and they loved making this card too!

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base – cut piece of Cajun Craze cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and fold in half.
  • Cut piece of the woodgrain paper from the Come to Gather Designer Series Papers at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere to card base.
  • Cut piece of Whisper White cardstock at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″. Using the leaf image from the Gather Together stamp set, stamp two leaves with Cajun Craze ink and then fill in the blank spots by stamping the leaves with Blackberry Bliss. Attach to a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock cut at 3 3/8″ x 4 5/8″ and attach to card front
  • Stamp greeting with Blackberry Bliss ink on piece of Whisper White cardstock and use circle punch or circle die to cut out. Punch a larger circle with a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock and adhere to the greeting. Attach to the card.
  • Cut piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″ for inside of card. Stamp leaf in left corner and stamp greeting of your choice or leave blank.

Gather Together – Kylie’s Training Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for September! I’m part of a group of amazingly talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world that participate in Kylie Bertucci’s program for building our businesses.

Today’s card features the beautiful new Come To Gather suite from the 2019 Holiday Catalog. Each year I look forward to making autumn-themed cards, especially because I love working with the rich hues of the season.

Here is how I made the card:

  • Card base: Merry Merlot cardstock cut at 4 1/2″ x 11″ and fold in half.
  • Cut a piece of Merry Merlot paper at 4″ x 5 1/4″ from the Come to Gather Designer Series Papers and adhere to card base.
  • Emboss a piece of Copper Foil with the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder and then die cut using largest circle in the Layering Circles Dies. Adhere to card.
  • Stamp leaf image from the Gather Together stamp set on piece of Cajun Craze cardstock with Early Espresso ink. Die cut with Gathered Leaves Dies. Die cut two more Cajun Craze leaves with the small and medium size leaf dies in the set. Sponge Early Espresso ink on leaf veins.
  • Die cut two Grapefruit Grove springs from the die in the Butterfly Beauty die set.
  • Arrange die cuts around embossed circle and adhere to card. Adhere large stamped leaf image with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add linen thread bow.
  • For inside of card cut piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Stamp sentiment with Early Espresso ink. Stamp leaf image in lower left corner with Cajun Craze ink.

Feels Like Frost Sneak Peek

Today I have a card for you featuring Feels Like Frost, one of my favorite suites from the new 2019 Holiday Catalog. The products in this suite are so pretty. The Designer Series Paper is amazing – photographic images in wonderful non-traditional Christmas colors on one side and silver foil images on the other side! Stampin’ Up! has brought back Crystal Effects, which they retired a few years ago – yay! Pair this with the fun new Ice Stampin’ Glitter to give your projects a frosty, sparkly effect. The new Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon is soft and shimmery. All of these products will be available as of September 4th.

Here is how I made this card.

  • Card base – cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and fold in half.
  • Cut a piece of the Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere to card base.
  • Die cut a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock with the stitched frame from the Frosted Frames Dies. Ink up the berry branch from the Frosted Foliage stamp set with Seaside Spray ink, stamp off and then stamp onto die cut piece. Stamp yuletide greeting with Night of Navy ink over the branch.
  • Cut piece of Seaside Spray 1/4″ Metallic Ribbon and make ribbon loop. I used a few small pieces of Scotch Tape to hold them in place.
  • Die cut one set of leaves from scrap piece of Seaside Spray cardstock. The die makes two leaves from the one piece. Apply Shimmery Crystal Effects onto the leaves and then sprinkle them with the Ice Stampin’ Glitter. Let dry for an hour before handling them. Once dry, adhere the leaves, using a thin line of liquid glue, to the opposite corners of the frame piece.
  • Finish off the card by adhering the greeting over the ribbon loops. Adhere a few Seaside Spray sequins from the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment for a little extra bling.
