Love & Happiness

Hello and Happy Valentine’s Day! Today’s card features the Love & Happiness Bundle in the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog. I used the more traditional colors for the card – red, white, and black. I CASE’d this card from Mary Fish and you can see her card here.

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base – cut piece of Basic Black cardstock at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″, fold and crease with a bone folder.
  • Cut a piece of the black and white stripe paper from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper at 3″ x 4″ and adhere to right side of card front.
  • Cut piece of Basic White cardstock at 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ and run through the die cutting machine with the next-to-largest die from the Scalloped Contours Dies.
  • Cut a piece of the red and white Playful Pets ribbon at 15″, wrap around scalloped piece and tie in a bow.
  • Cut a piece of Real Red cardstock at 2 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ and run through the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder, centering the cardstock in the center of the folder so that it covers the entire heart in the middle of the folder. Don’t forget to place the heart die from the hybrid folder die set inside the folder. Adhere to the scalloped rectangle. Adhere rectangle to card front.
  • Stamp greeting from Catching Butterflies stamp set with Memento ink on scrap piece of Basic White cardstock and run through die cutting machine with the larger label die from the hybrid embossing folder set. Adhere over the embossed heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp greeting from the Love & Happiness stamp on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock with Memento ink. Adhere to inside of card.
  • Adhere two Matte Black Dots to card as shown.

Sweet Talk Tailor Made Tags Card

Hello! Today’s card is one of five cards from my January Valentine’s Day class-to go. All of the projects featured products from the Sweet Talk Suite in the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog. I cased the card from one that is shown on page 10 in the catalog. This card was quick and easy to make and shows off the fun Designer Series Paper.

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base – Cut piece of Real Red cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″, fold and crease with a bone folder.
  • Cut a piece of Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere to card front.
  • Cut a piece of the Highland Heather sheet of DSP with the words written in white at 2 1/4″ x 4 1/2″. Run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the largest Tailor Made Tag with the rounded top.
  • Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 2 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ and run through the machine with the same tag die.
  • Cut an 8″ length of ribbon to tie the two tags together. I used some retired Highland Heather ribbon that was a Sale-a-Bration item a few years ago, so you can use any ribbon in your stash that matches the colors in the DSP. Put the two tags together and insert ribbon into both of the holes and tie with a slip knot. Trim ends.
  • To make the words for the tag, use a scrap piece of Real Red cardstock that measures 1 1/4″ x 2 1/4″. Cut a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet the same size, peel off one of the backings and adhere to cardstock. Cut letters from the Playful Alphabet Dies – one “L”, one “V” and two “U”. Run through the Cut and Emboss Machine. Peel backings off the letters and adhere to the Basic White tag as shown.
  • Stamp hearts with Blushing Bride ink at bottom of tag. I used a stamp from the Love Notes stamp set, which is retired. If you own the Sweet Conversations stamp set you can use the image with the three small hearts.
  • Adhere tags to front of card. Adhere the Highland Heather tag first, placing it at an angle. Adhere the Basic White tag over it, straight up and down.
  • Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and stamp a Valentine’s Day greeting of your choice. Adhere to inside of card.

Happy Galentine’s Day!

Hello! Today’s cards feature the Hearts & Kisses Bundle. When I saw this bundle in the mini catalog, as a woman that loves lipstick and feels naked when I’m not wearing it, I knew I had to purchase it! I also thought that it would make great cards to send to my gal pals to celebrate Galentine’s Day! As I’m writing this post, I’ve already heard back from a few of them to say how much they loved receiving their cards! One of my friends has a Valentine’s Day birthday and another has a birthday on February 17 so I used a birthday greeting for those two cards.

Here is how I made the cards.

  • Card base – cut a piece of Real Red cardstock at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″, fold and crease with a bone folder.
  • Cut piece of DSP at 4″ x 5 1/4″. I used From My Heart Specialty DSP from the 2020 Spring Mini Catalog, now retired. Adhere to card front.
  • Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ and run through your die cutting machine with the largest rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies.
  • Stamp the lipstick streak image from the Hearts & Kisses stamp set with Flirty Flamingo ink at the top and bottom of the die cut piece, stamping off first, before stamping onto the cardstock. For the birthday card I stamped the Galentine’s Day greeting with Real Red ink in between the stamped streaks. For the Galentine’s Day card I used the Hello Fabulous greeting from the Dressed to Impress stamp set.
  • Stamp two lips with Flirty Flamingo ink, punch out with the Kiss Punch and adhere on top of the streaks. Embellish with three Resin Hearts. Adhere piece to card front.
  • For the inside of the card, cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″. For the birthday card I stamped it with the Happy Birthday greeting from the Happy Thoughts stamp set and I used the Happy Galentine’s Day greeting for the rest of the cards. I stamped the greetings and the xoxo with Real Red ink. Stamp the lipstick with Flirty Flamingo ink. Adhere to inside.

True Love Valentine’s Day Card

Hello! Today I’m sharing another Valentine’s Day card that was one of the projects in my January class to go. It features the True Love Designer Series Paper.

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base – cut a piece of Real Red cardstock at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″, fold and crease with a bone folder.
  • Cut piece of the True Love DSP with the stripes at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere to card front.
  • Cut piece of Basic Black cardstock at 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″. Run through your die cutting machine with the largest rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly die set.
  • Cut piece of Basic White cardstock at 2 1/4″ x 2 1/2″. Cut a piece of an Adhesive Sheet the same size and adhere to cardstock. Using the “Love” die from the Always Dies, run through your die cutting machine. Adhere to bottom of the Basic Black rectangle.
  • Select one of the double flowers from a sheet of the True Love DSP. Color the flowers with Real Red light and dark Stampin’ Blends. Color leaves with Mossy Meadow light and dark Stampin’ Blends. Fussy cut and adhere to Basic Black rectangle. Adhere several white Resin Hearts from the Snail Mail suite. Adhere Basic Black piece to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Stamp greeting with Real Red ink. You can use any of the greetings from the stamp sets in the Love You Always. I used the “Happy Heart Day” greeting from the Arrange a Wreath stamp set. Adhere to inside of card.

Always Valentine’s Day Card

Hello! Today I’m featuring a Valentine’s Day card that we did in my January class to go. It uses dies and an embossing folder and the only stamping is the greeting on the inside of the card. I’ve been seeing cards with a Basic Black, Basic White and Magenta Madness color combination that I think is very striking so here is what I came up with.

Here is how I made the card.

  • Cut piece of Basic Black cardstock at 4 1/2″ x 11″, score at 5 ½”, fold and crease with bone folder.  Cut piece of True Love Designer Series Paper at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere to card front.
  • Cut piece of Basic White cardstock at 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″. Run it through your die cutting and embossing machine with the Lace 3D embossing folder, centering the design so that it is even on both sides.  Adhere to a piece of Magenta Madness cardstock cut at 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″.
  • Back a scrap piece of Basic Black cardstock with part of an adhesive sheet that is cut to size and run through your die cutting & embossing machine with the Always die from the Always Die set.  Cut a 2 1/2″ square piece of Magenta Madness cardstock and back with a piece of adhesive sheet. Run it through the machine with the second largest scalloped heart from the Stitched Be Mine die set.  Adhere the heart to the embossed Basic White piece.  Adhere to the Magenta Madness cardstock.  Adhere the Always die cut to the piece and then adhere piece to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • You can use any greeting from your stamp sets for the inside greeting. I mixed sentiments from two different stamp sets. I used “In My Heart” from the Field of Flowers stamp set and the “Happy Valentine’s Day” greeting from the Forever Lovely stamp set, which is now retired. I lined both of them up on an acrylic block so I could stamp them both at the same time and stamped them with Magenta Madness ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Adhere to inside of card.

Little Ladybug – Two Versions

Hello and Happy Valentine’s Day! Today I have two adorable cards for you that feature the Little Ladybug stamp set. You can earn this stamp set for FREE with a $300 personal or workshop order during Sale-A-Bration!

Both cards use the same layout. I switched up the Designer Series Papers and colors, as well as the greetings. Here are the measurements for both cards.

  • Card base – 4 1/4″ x 11″
  • Mat for DSP – 4″ x 4″
  • DSP – 3 7/8″ x 3 7/8″
  • Mat for stamped piece – 3 1/4″ x 4″
  • Whisper White piece for stamped image – 3″ x 3 7/8″

I made this card for a friend that has a birthday on Valentine’s Day. I used Real Red cardstock for the base, Flirty Flamingo cardstock for the mat and From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper.

For the image I stamped the flower with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the lower left corner and colored it with Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. I used the “Hey Lady” greeting and for the inside of the card I stamped “Happy Birthday” which is also a greeting in this set. I stamped the ladybugs and colored them with Real Red and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. I cut the ladybugs from dies in the Coordination Product Ladybugs Die set. These dies are available for purchase through March 31st. I adhered one of the ladybugs to the flower with liquid glue and the other was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a bow around the DSP piece with 1/8″ Real Red ribbon, which is now retired. You can substitute any ribbon or bakers twine. Adhere this piece to card base. Adhere stamped image to smaller mat and adhere to card front.

Everyone had fun making this version of the card at my stamping club last week! For this card, we used Poppy Parade for the card base, Basic Black for the DSP mat and Golden Honey Specialty Designer Paper that you can get for FREE during Sale-A-Bration with any $50 order.

The mat for the stamped image is Daffodil Delight cardstock. For this image, stamp the flower in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the lower left corner and color it in with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I used the “You’re so Sweet” greeting from the set. Stamp the ladybugs and color with Poppy Parade and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends.

I cut the ladybugs from dies in the Coordination Product Ladybugs Die set. I adhered one of the ladybugs to the flower with liquid glue and the other was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tied a bow around the DSP piece with Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Ruched Ribbon from the Mini Catalog. Adhere this piece to card base. Adhere stamped image to smaller mat and adhere to card front.

Stampin’ Up! has released several Coordination Products that are available for purchase now through March 31st. These products coordinate with items in the Sale-A-Bration brochure and the Mini Catalog and will be available while supplies last.

Amour

Hello! Today’s card features products from the Parisian Blossoms mega-suite and it is for Valentine’s Day. There are two bundles in the suite and I used both of them for this card. I especially love the Eiffel Tower images. Over the years, Stampin’ Up! has included images of the Eiffel Tower in other stamp sets, however, I think this is the best one of all – it is tall and elegant!

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base: Cut piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 11,” score and fold in half.
  • Cut piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Using the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder, run through your embossing machine. Adhere to card front.
  • Die cut the Eiffel Tower out of a piece of a Black Foil Sheet using the die from the Parisian Dies set. Adhere to card front. Die cut “Amour” out of a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock using the die from the same set. I had originally planned on using Cherry Cobbler but it didn’t show up as well as I thought it would as there didn’t seem to be enough contrast. In the end, I really like how the Flirty Flamingo looks! Adhere to the lower part of the tower. I used the Fine-Tip Glue Pen for this.
  • Using the single flower image from the Forever Blossoms stamp set, stamp flowers with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Cherry Cobbler and Flirty Flamingo cardstock and cut out with the die from the Cherry Blossoms Die set. I like to use an odd number in groupings so decided on three flowers for each of the two groups. Arrange them on the card and glue them down with Multipurpose Glue so that you have some wiggle room to move them around until they are positioned to your liking.
  • I used a few gems from the From My Heart Faceted Gems in the From My Heart suite for a touch of bling.
  • For the inside of the card I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and stamped the Valentine’s greeting from the Meant to Be stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink. This set was in the 2019 Occasions catalog and was carried over to the 2019-2020 Annual catalog. It is a lovely set and has a fantastic set of dies, Stitched Be Mine, that were also carried over. I used the Stamparatus to partially position the large blossom image from the Forever Blossoms stamp set and stamped it with the Tuxedo Black ink.
