Lily Pond Lane Suite

Hello!

Today’s card features the adorable Lily Pond Lane Suite. This is one of my favorite suites in the new 2024-2025 Annual Catalog. I especially love the Designer Series Paper. This is one of two cards we made using this suite in my monthly class, where I introduced the new 2024-2026 In Colors. This card uses Peach Pie. I got the layout idea from a card I saw on Pinterest.

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base: Cut a piece of Peach Pie cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″, fold and crease with a bone folder.
  • Cut piece of Basic White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere to card front. Cut piece of Peach Pie DSP from the 2024-2026 In Color Designer Series Paper at 3 3/4″ x 5″ and adhere to Basic White piece.
  • Cut piece of Basic White cardstock at 3 1/8″ square. Cut a piece of the cattail pattern paper from the Lily Pond Lane DSP at 3″ square and adhere to Basic White square.
  • Cut piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock at 2 1/4″ x 5″ and flag one end. I used one of the dies from the retired Banners Framelits Dies and altered the width. I always keep retired die sets that are basic shapes! Adhere the banner to the center of the front of the card. Adhere the square DSP piece over the banner.
  • Cut piece of Basic White cardstock at 2 1/4″ square and run through die cutting machine with the fourth smallest Deckled Circle die. Adhere to center of square piece. Stamp birthday greeting from the Charming Duck Pond stamp set with Peach Pie ink and run through die cutting machine with the angled die from Something Fancy Dies. Adhere to bottom of circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • There are several pieces of DSP with duck images that coordinate with the duck dies in the Charming Duck Pond dies. Cut one out and run through die cutting machine. Adhere to upper part of circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere three Gray Granite Dappled Dots to focal piece.
  • Cut piece of Basic White cardstock at 4″ x 5 1/4″. Stamp leaf image with Granny Apple Green ink in left corner. Stamp cattails over leaf image with Pretty in Pink ink. Adhere to inside of the card.

Perennial Lavender Fun Fold Card

Hello!

Today’s card features products from the Perennial Lavender mega suite from the soon-to-be-retired January-April Mini Catalog. The good news is that all of the products in this suite, with the exception of the Perennial Postage stamp set, are carrying over into the new 2024-2025 Annual Catalog, including the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper. It isn’t often that Stampin’ Up! carries over DSP! The Painted Lavender bundle will not be sold as a bundle in the new catalog. You will be able to purchase the stamp set and dies separately. If this bundle is still on your wish list, you might want to take advantage of saving 10% on the bundle now.

Here is how I created this fun fold card.

  • Card base – cut a piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 11″, score at 5 1/2″, fold and crease sharply with a bone folder.
  • Cut a piece of the Perennial Lavender DSP at 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and run through a die cutting machine with the largest die from the Perennial Postage die set and adhere to card front.
  • Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock at 2 1/4″ x 4″. Stamp the stems with Pretty Peacock ink. Stamp large lavender spray with Gorgeous Grape ink. Stamp spray again with Highland Heather ink over the Gorgeous Grape spray. Adhere to a piece of Highland Heather cardstock cut at 2 3/8″ x 4 1/8″.
  • Cut two pieces of DSP at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and adhere to both sides on the inside of the card. Cut a strip of Basic White cardstock at 1″ x 11″. Score at 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″ and 8 1/4″. Crease all folds very sharply with a bone folder.
  • Run a thin line of liquid glue at the top of the 11″ strip. Open card and center the strip in the middle. Line up the top of the strip with the top of the card and adhere. Run a thin line of liquid glue at the bottom of the strip. Line up the strip with the bottom of the card and adhere.
  • Cut four pieces of Highland Heather cardstock at 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″each and four pieces of Basic White cardstock at 2″ x 2″ each.
  • On the first piece of Basic White, stamp the grass image with Pretty Peacock ink. Stamp the butterflies with Fresh Freesia ink.
  • On the second piece of Basic White, stamp the thin lavender spring several times with Gorgeous Grape ink and alternating with Highland Heather ink.
  • On the third piece of Basic White, stamp the small flower spray with Highland Heather ink.
  • On the fourth piece, stamp a greeting from the Perennial Postage stamp set or leave it blank and write in your own note.
  • Adhere the four stamped images to the four squares of Highland Heather cardstock.
  • Adhere the four squares to the strip, running a thin line of liquid glue in the middle of each square. Don’t apply glue to the entire square otherwise the fold won’t work properly.

This is what the fold looks like when the card is opened.

  • To finish off the card, fold the card and crease again very sharply with a bone folder. Adhere the stamped floral spray piece to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere a few of the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to the card front. Make bow and adhere to floral spray with a Mini Glue Dot. I used a piece of retired Gorgeous Grape ribbon from my ribbon stash.

Last Chance Product Sale

Hello!

I’m back from being MIA for almost two months and I can’t believe it’s been that long since my last post! I’ve been holding my monthly card classes but haven’t had time to post any of the projects. February through the end of April is always a crazy busy time of the year for me. No, I’m not an accountant dealing with client tax returns LOL!! However, I am the administrator on the Business Development Team (also known as fundraising) for a major non-profit business organization in Lancaster County and our big annual awards luncheon will be held in two weeks so I’ve been working with all of our sponsors and the luncheon team to keep track of registrations, as well as working with our graphic designer on the luncheon program. This is painstaking, detailed work so I’ve had to give most of my attention to this event, including the last few weekends. I’m itching to work on card projects and can’t wait for my pre-order to arrive next week so maybe I can do a little bit of stamping before my work on this project ends! I hope to begin posting on a regular basis again very soon.

The 2023-2024 Annual Catalog and January-April 2024 Mini Catalog sales period ends on April 30th which means our Last Chance sale has begun. Save up to 60% on selected items, while supplies last.

It is always sad to say goodbye to many favorite products, including the 2022-2024 In Colors. The colors are Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky, Tahitian Tide. I just checked inventory and all of the ink refills are sold out, however all of the cardstock, stamp pads and Stampin’ Blends are still available, so if you have some retiring In Color favorites, now is the time to stock up!

Price changes on a number of staple items will be in effect beginning on May 1st. Stock up now!

This is a sneak peek of the cover for the new annual catalog! As you can see, it looks quite different from past covers! The inside pages have been redesigned as well. Most Adored Book Fold Card

Hello!

Today’s card features the Most Adored Specialty Designer Series Paper, one of the free items you can earn with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration. While I used this paper to make a Valentine’s Day card, you can use this paper for other occasions. I used the red and pink designs on one side of several papers but the other sides are gold foil and white. There are only 9 days remaining for you to earn this paper before this year’s Sale-A-Bration promotion ends.

Here is how I made the card.

  • Card base – cut a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock at 4 1/4″ x 11″. Score at 4 1/4 and 5 1/2″. Fold and sharply crease score lines with a bone folder. Adhere the 1 1/4″ fold section to the card base so that it opens up like a book.
  • Cut a piece of the Most Adored Specialty Designer Series Paper at 4″ square. Cut another piece of DSP at 1″ x 4″. Adhere both pieces to card front.
  • Die cut or punch out nine 1″ circles with Basic White cardstock and one 1 1/4″ circle with Real Red cardstock. I never got rid of any of the circle punches Stampin’ Up! has sold in the past so I was able to punch everything out. You can use any nested circle dies as well.
  • Stamp greeting with Real Red ink on one of the Basic White circles and adhere to the Real Red circle. I used the Love You greeting from the Season of Chic stamp set because it fit perfectly in the circle.
  • Cut three different 1 1/2″ strips of the DSP and either punch out eight hearts with any heart punch or dies in your collection that will fit within the circles. I used dies from a long-retired set of heart shaped dies. Hearts are one of my favorite shapes, so I always keep them.
  • Adhere the hearts to the circles. Lay the circles out on the card front, three circles per row, and when you like how the arrangement looks, adhere them down.
  • Cut piece of Basic White cardstock at 4″x4″. Stamp small hearts from the Bee Mine Valentine stamp set two times with Real Red ink in upper right corner. Stamp Valentine’s greeting with Real Red ink. Adhere to inside of card.
  • Cut a piece of ribbon or bakers twine and tie around card front. I used two different colors of retired bakers twine on my card.
